I have had the pleasure of speaking at a Dying matters/ Celebration of life session at the chairty "Live Well with Cancer" group.
Feedback:
A huge thank you to our incredible facilitator Angie for leading an insightful discussion on dying matters last night. Your wisdom and compassion shed light on the importance of having open conversations about end-of-life planning and funeral arrangements, even when it's difficult.
Your guidance really did help to approach these sensitive topics with grace and understanding, reminding us that these conversations ultimately lead to greater clarity and peace of mind for all involved.
Your empathy, Angie, spoke so loud in the scripts that you wrote and it’s clear that your experience as a cancer specialist nurse has so greatly impacted the way you are able to communicate with the bereaved; especially to address the complex grief.
Angie has a wealth of experience in palliative care and knows, full well, the value of wisdom, kindness and professionalism at a time when others are grieving. ( Julie Chudleigh academyofmoderncelebrancy)
You have a really lovely pace and tone to your voice, and you managed the ebbs and flows of the ceremony beautifully. You assumed all the roles in the ceremony well including the readers, ring exchange and vows. You also have a very calm and reassuring manner about you, this will stand in such good stead for not only the delivery of weddings but funerals and celebration of life ceremonies as well. A safe pair of hands is always of benefit. You again also told the couple’s story well and with the woven elements of humour as well it was a joy to listen to you again. This was without a doubt a really beautiful script with so many special touches that you brought to life through your storytelling Angie.
It has been a pleasure to mentor you Angie and I am wishing you much success on your Celebrant journey.
